Some info for you guys

When Merric was a young child, no more than 5 his town was raided by an evil cult. Merric being so small hid from the cult. Although he was hiding he watched in terror as his family, friends, and everything he knew got destroyed, killed, or captured. He knew even at that age that when his parents got captured that they were going to be slaves. Once the cult was done ransacking the town, they burned it down. Merric ran for days to escape the cult and all the bad memories of the place he once called home. He traveled from town to town scaving and stealing whatever he could. Now that he is older he has cleaned up his act. he travels wherever he can in search for his parents. Merric has never had any friends, therefore, he is very nervous about these new people he has come in contact with. He has been traveling for 15 years and still has not found his parents. He is about to give up all hope of finding them when when he gets a feeling that these new allies will help him reach his parents. Merric is very skeptic in trusting Azriel because he reminds him of the fighting tactics the cult used to take over and capture the town and people he once knew. He is very interested in the wizard and his powers and wonders if there is any magic he can do. Merric is very ragged and tired but just wants to keep on going until he finds his parents and gets revenge. He is very thankful to the group and especially Kharask for saving his life and ketting him tag along with the group. He is excied and ready for more adventures with this new found party.
